Honey Cinnamon Facial Mask

This is so easy to make and you’ll love the results! Most amateur bakers and well-stocked home kitchens will already have the necessary ingredients for this at home cleansing facial mask.

What you need for a honey facial mask! Honey, cinnamon, and baking soda.

Facial Mask Ingredients

Honey

1 Tablespoon

Using the right kind of honey in your facial mask gets rid of excess oils, cleans out pores, smoothes the skin, and fights acne-causing bacteria at the source. It also contains helpful minerals, amino acids, and vitamins!

Baking Soda

1 teaspoon

Baking Soda kills bacteria, fades acne scars, removes dirt and excess dirt to cleanse pores!

Ground Cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon

Include Cinnamon in your facial mask to cleanse the skin and fight fungal irritations. It also has the added benefit of smelling delicious!

DIY Facial Mask Recipe

Yield: About 2 masks, this mixture is great to share with a friend or partner.

1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Will kind of look goop-y.

2. After washing face, apply mask to face.

3. Leave on for 10-15 minutes (careful, if too much is put onto face, it may drip!)

4. Remember to lotion up after the face is washed off with water.

I’d love to hear how this mask worked for you. Feel free to tell me about your experience in the comments, or share your own at-home facial mask recipe!

Has anybody researched what cinnamon can do to ones face? Its horrible. Baking soda can be bad also..not everything you see can be trustworthy

I appreciate the concern, but it never burned my face. Perhaps it was an allergic reaction or too much cinnamon was used? I'd appreciate you not spamming my site with derogatory comments.

I don't think this person meant to be derogatory. Simply, that cinnamon face masks are not for everyone. People with sensitive skin often get burns from cinnamon face masks. It has nothing to do with allergies or even too much cinnamon, it's just really only effective for people with non-sensitive, oily skin.

Hey Lauryn, I used your mask for a feature on the 'Common Room' podcast for our F3 segment on DIY facial masks. It was great! Smells awesome. Bonus: when I washed off my face the baking soda became a sort of exfoliation. Thanks!

Can you store this in the fridge for a week or just keep it on the counter at 80 degrees room temperature.

I would think it would be okay at room temperature since none of the items need to be refrigerated!

I also have a 10 year old daughter whom suffers from acne. Majority is on her forehead and nose. Dr prescribed 80.00 cream after insurance and i've had it refilled 3x. Nothing helps. Gonna try this. Wondering if the lady with the 11year old daughter had any luck? Thanks in advance and any suggestions would be great!

I've used cinnamon & honey for colds but never heard of adding baking soda for a mask. I'm 45 and the wrinkles are really starting to show. I use ROC at night and use a few different kinds of cleansers but rarely do masks. I will give this a try~

Just letting you know, this face mask was terrible. Not only did it burn my skin, it turned raw and pink. It hurts and feels tight. Please do not try! I don't have sensitive skin! I was also not allergic!

    Hi Lauren,
My name’s Rochelle. I’ll spare you the long version. I’m 58 and still fighting cystic acne and blackheads. Since this has been going on since I was early teens. Anyway, quit professional help and would like to try your BS/Honey/Cinnamon mask. My concern is the honey. I’m thinking thick, gooey, sweet…on my face?! Maybe helps as a built in moisturizer?! Please help….

Does this store for later use? Asking because depression… it isn’t often “worth it” to put in the effort to do the simplest things, but if I have it stored, I’ll be more motivated to use it because less stress and I’m actually doing something productive for myself and why not? I’m really trying to get better about self-care especially in periods of worse. Also wondering if it will help with chapped and stressed lips because I currently live in an area with high wind and dry heat. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

Unfortunately, I am not sure if it will store well for later use. Keep your head up; I am rooting for you!

um sooo not trying to be negative but if you have sensitive skin like me i recommend testing the mask on a small part of your skin before you cover your whole face and if the small part starts to burn wash immediately and DO NOT PROCEED TO COVER YOUR WHOLE FACE if it doesn’t burn you can cover your whole face after a min
