golden hour

Last Monday Spence and I attended the sealing and reception of my best friend Ashlie to Eric Shupe. Ash and Shupe had been dating for around 2 years, so it was such an exciting occasion, spent with laughter and tears. She is one of the funniest friends I know.
2 of my favorite things about the entire day was watching the little His and Hers video (where they separate the couple and ask the same questions), and playing corn hole with Spencer. The video was hilarious and sentimental, I definitely cried and laughed through the entire thing. The reception was filled with tons of games, like a huge Jenga Shupe built himself, bowling, and corn hole. I am proud to say I hustled Spence and beat him 9 to 6. The night ended with the couple running though a tunnel of streamers and jumping on the This is the Place train, with a just married sign on the back.
The reason I named this post golden hour is because, in the photogaphy, and fashion blogging world, there is a term called such. It means the hour, right before sunset, as the sun paints everything along the horizon a yellow-gold tint. It is the perfect setting to make everyone and everything look beautiful. I received these golden Aldo shoes through Thred Up. They are a store that I have mentioned in the past with my 7 Jeans, leather jacket, and Marc dress. The coolest thing about the store is that you can find items new with tags at discount prices. Thred Up basically takes the clothes that people don’t want, and sells them for a killer price! Definitely check them out, you never know what treasures you will find.
