Roolee Boutique with Suzy Shattuck

Suzy mentioned to me that she was coming to Salt Lake City over the winter break. We had been eyeing Roolee Boutique’s wine colored jumpsuit and gold Peter Pan blouse for sometime. With some great luck, we were able to pull a shoot together with Roolee Boutique, Alexa Harris Makeup, and Evelyn Eslava for the perfect winter style collaboration.

The thing about Suzy is that she is hilarious. I remember her putting screenshots of a conversation between her and her husband up on Facebook that was pure comedy. Ever since then, I have wanted to be her friend. The issue lies in the fact that we are a state away. She lives in Idaho and I live in Utah, and while they share the similarities in a major ruling religion, love for farms, and weather, the distance was still coming between us. Luckily, Suzy and Steve (her husband) were coming down for family plans over the holidays; the meet up was meant to be!

Suzy also dresses in a way that I totally approve of. Our styles compliment one another, so finding coordinating outfits was a piece of cake! Roolee has a ton to offer when it comes to trendy and cute clothing. I wore their wine colored jumpsuit and strappy boots (that look like Free People for a fraction of the price), while Suzy wore their gold blouse!

I called up my good friend Alexa Harris, a self-trained makeup artist, and asked if she would do our makeup for the day. She obliged under one condition: we had to go live on Instagram during the makeup application! It was a learning process, as it was the first time going live for a lot of us 😉

I loved being able to have a Girls’ Day with Suz and being able to feel spoiled rotten!
