All right, so I have been blonde before and know just how hard upkeep is on dark roots. In fact, before I found this product, my root growth was one of the reasons I choose to go back to balayage instead of full on blonde! I first heard of Style Edit as the new way to achieve flawless blonde hair from a friend. She had tried the root concealer spray and boasted about getting a few extra weeks in between salon time.

FOR BLONDES

Style Edit has a root touch up powder and root concealer spray that instantly lightens and brightens to blend dark and gray roots. The color binding complex in the product with unique binding agents allow the pigments to glide over roots and locks color into place with just one swipe. The Style Edit root touch up is available for $24.50 at select salons nationwide. Blonde perfection is  available in dark blonde, medium blonde and light blonde hair colors.
Melissa, my blonde model, didn’t have any grey hairs to cover up, but she wanted more coverage on her dark roots in between salon visits. Check out Melissa’s before and after transformation: before Style Edit’s blonde perfection collection is on the left, and the after photo showing the cover-up and concealer is on the right! We used the root concealer spray, which is applied by holding the can 4 inches from the section you wish to cover, and spraying (kind of like using hairspray). We also used the root touch up product, which is applied the same way you apply compact powder makeup. Both products wash off after your first hair wash post application.

FOR BRUNETTES

Are you a brunette from coloring, or maybe even trying to cover your grey hair? My mom often complains about her grey hair growth and having to go to the salon to hide the tell-tale sign of aging. In order to go to the root of the issue (see what I did there?!) and stop her from spending all of her money at the salon every few weeks, I had her come over and try out the Style Edit brunette beauty root concealer! This quick and convenient spray offers a pin point applicator allowing you to cover large areas of gray or regrowth. You use it similar to hairspray, holding about 6 inches from the area you are trying to mask with the application.  Brunette beauty is available in a range of shades, including: black/dark brown, medium/light brown, lightest brown/medium blonde, and even auburn/red.
Check out my mom’s before (left) and after (right) photos of the Style Edit’s brunette collection. We used both the Root Concealer spray and the Root Touch Up compact powder. Greys be gone!

  • Oh my gosh! This looks amazing! I don't dye my hair (I have SO much of it), but my mom would love to use this for her roots! It would be cost efficient and would really help the moments she wants to cover them but not dye it yet. Thank you for sharing!
