Ready-to-Wear Ruffles

Well, in Salt Lake City, it feels as if we skipped fall entirely and went straight to the cold winter months!  Or perhaps it is that strange phenomenon that locals all talk about with 50 degree weather: 50 degrees after the summer and everyone has their coats out… 50 degrees after the winter and everyone has their shorts out! Either way, I am excited to bring out more layering, long sleeve tops, and thicker fabrics!

The first time I saw this asymmetrical ruffled skirt on ChicWish, I couldn’t stop dreaming up outfits to style with it! The lines and shape are very flattering for smaller waisted women (think hourglass and pear shapes) because it shows off the midline so well! If you are going for the tighter fit, like how I wore the skirt, I would recommend sizing down one size. I paired it with this great seasonal transition blouse; I am in love with the button details.
