Isn’t this island gorgeous?! I am in love with Maui and feel
so lucky that we are able to enjoy it. The Iao Valley State Park is absolutely incredible. As
we were preparing for our trip, I was pretty worried about the bugs. If there
are any mosquitos, anywhere, I always get bit. It’s actually a joke that I must
have sweet blood because I’ll get 3x’s as many bites as anyone else on outings.

Since I am such a researcher, I wanted to put some proof
behind my thought that I was getting bit more often! The results were surprising,
and you guessed it, validating! There are some people that DO get bitten more often
by mosquitos. It comes down to quite a few factors, and a combination of these
will surely to keep you itching for days (unless you use PARA’KITO™ bracelets)!
Blood type, genetic makeup, eating habits, and body temperature all play a part
in whether or not a mosquito will want to suck your blood.

I first learned about PARA’KITO™when I was looking for
a solution to my constant bug bites throughout the warmer months. Spencer and I
often choose outdoor activities stay entertained and active, and that means
coming in contact with bugs. Did you know that sweat is one of the ways that
mosquitos find you? That, and a rise in body temperature! The hellions with
wings use their sense of smell to detect possible victims, which means if you
have an odor, you need to cover it with something bolder. PARA’KITO™ works
better than typical bug-away alternatives because the repellent is secured in a tiny pocket on a wristlet that stays on all day long. The repellant refills are made with natural oils that mask the common human scents that bring about mosquitos.  Each refill pouch lasts up to 15 days! No need to reapply or
worry about the product washing off with water or sweat. The women’s section from their shop has over 30+ different prints available for their bracelets.  You can repel the pesky buggers all day long while also looking cute!

You would think it sounds crazy, but research shows that those
with Type O blood are 2x’s more likely to get bitten by mosquitos!
Other factors that raise the risk of getting bitten are drinking beer, lactic acid, skin bacteria, carbon dioxide , and being pregnant. These blood suckers can smell a multitude of scents! Basically, you should just wear the fashionable bracelets equipped with if you want to stay protected from bugs all year long!

LOL you sound like me. I am always the one who gets bit. I used to think it was because of my tan skin color, but nope, guess it's not. So good to know there's something out there like Para'kito!

Ok, I get bitten by mosquitoes and the bites swell up to the point where people are concerned I have a skin disease. I think I need to invest in better mosquito repellent!
