Similar to autumn in Utah, the temperature changes a lot and requires a variety of clothing! Salt Lake City is a high desert (high altitude, dry climate) and can get snow and 70 degree weather in the same week. Layers and Light Jackets are a Must in SLC, Utah
As mentioned before, Salt Lake City can have unpredictable weather during the spring months. With that in mind, layering is key when visiting during that time! Often, the mornings and evenings are chilly and require a light jacket or sweater. During the day, since the sun is closer at the high altitude, it can get hot enough for shorts sleeve shirts and shorts. I like to carry a denim jacket or knit cardigan around with me to slip on and off as the temperature varies during the day. We get a few rainy days throughout April. Bring a raincoat or poncho is you plan on sightseeing around the city!

Athletic Clothing for Adventures in Northern Utah
Honestly, Spring is one of the best times to adventure travel in Utah! If coming n March or April, you can often hit the slopes to ski, snowboard, or snowshoe. Once the weather warms up in May, the wildflowers begin to bloom on hiking trails offering a beautiful backdrop to sight see. Whatever activity you choose, you’ll want athletic wear to help you on your adventure. I’d recommend leggings, tennis shoes, hiking boots, and snow gear if you’re planning on doing colder activities. There are plenty of places around town to rent outdoor gear if packing those is difficult.
