So I saw this really cool blog the other day, called Forage Fashion. As I was scrolling through her outfit posts, I noticed how well done her photos were! I was trying to figure out who took her photos, so I went to her About Me page. It was there that I noticed she mentioned taking her own photos. I went back to the outfit pages, and suddenly realized that I had never seen the small camera remote in her hand until it was mentioned. She did such a great job! This inspired me to try and take my own photos for this outfit post. The self-portraits were a little uncomfortable at first– people kept asking what I was doing. Now that they are all edited, I realize that my husband can take clearer pictures than I can with a tripod. One day this whole photography thing will be a piece of cake. As for now, we are still learning. Grainy photos will have to do.
This adorable dress is from DownEast Basics. They sent it to me in honor of teacher appreciation day! Isn’t that sweet?! It lays perfectly. The dress fits like true medium. The sleeves are the perfect length for my wide shoulders, and they are wide enough that I don’t feel uncomfortable moving my arms. I belted the dress to add a little more waistline, but it wasn’t necessary. I promise I ironed the dress right before I left, but I ran some errands sitting in my hot car and made the dress wrinkly again! The Levi jacket I added on top is from when I was younger. It is now a 3/4 sleeve jacket on me, but I still wear it.

April 28, 2015OH and a hint– my camera has a two second delay remote setting, so it gives me a little bit of time to hide the remote before the shutter goes off– that way my remote doesn't show in the photos 🙂 it took me a while to realize that my camera had that setting haha
