“Are you Rebecca Swiss?”
“Wait, I thought your name was Lauryn?”
These are common questions that Becca and I get when we frequent the same places in Utah. People can’t tell us apart. I am totally okay with that because she is Brazilian and BEAUTIFUL. I love that she embraces her curves and has goals. If people confuse me for her, it’s not a problem because I know Becca Swiss is going places in life. It was because of this common confusion that I knew we had to get together and do a shoot– or three! We contacted Phirunsam on Instagram and the shoot was history.
I found half of my outfit from Uptown Cheapskate. You have heard me talk abuot it here during their grand opening, here for the South Jordan (SoJo) Grand Opening, here, here, here for a Kim K inspired outfit, and here for my leather skirt featured in my Dia de los Muertos shoot (I can go on forever  if you want me to)! They are my favorite thrift store ever.
They aren’t just any thrift store though, they are a COOL thrift store. You can drop off your clothing at any of their locations and they will pay you to buy them from you. In my experience, they pay more than any other pay-to-buy store. I have walked away with $200 in store credit easily.
When you get there, you can choose to leave your items, or you can walk around the store while they sort through them.
If you stay, you can choose if you want in-store credit, or if you want a payout. If you choose in-store credit, you get a percentage more! I usually (as in almost always) choose in-store credit because of the amazing finds! Uptown Cheapskate is known for their buying skills and their killer deals. I love to go there for the name brands and the good prices. I have walked away with designer goods at least 10 times for less than half the original price. When people compliment me and ask where I got the piece, I can’t help but spill the details that I was able to score the item for such a great deal!
Ask any of my friends in real life (because we all have friends via social media), I swear up and down by the amazing stores! I am sure if you asked any of my online friends they would know of my love for Uptown Cheapskate as well because I tag them so often on my social media. I love it because the Uptown Sugarhouse *who is celebrating their third anniversary* and Uptown Murray know me by name when I walk in. It is the red carpet treatment.
I got both my Gap Green Corduroy Dress and my Over-the-Knee Brown Boots from my local UC.
P.S. If you are looking for a holiday gift for the man in your life, impress him with some clothing, shoes, or even a watch from Uptown! I always get my husband Nixon watches in amazing condition to add to his collection from here.

Your outfits are so stunning. The perfect color and styles for fall. Haha my twin sister and I don't look alike and people actually wonder if we are playing a prank on them when we say we are twins lol

No way, that is hilarious! I think that having a twin that doesn't look like you probably plays down the competition a bit. I always imagined hating looking like my sister and having all the boys like her instead of me 😉

Y'all are both beautiful girls. I can always feel your energy when I read your posts and am envious. You are going places already and I know will go as far as you reach.
I love thrifting because of the great deals and sometimes it's getting an article of clothing I normally wouldn't buy for myself at full price.
